ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT ANALYSIS
(Common to ECE & EIE)

UNIT- I
SINGLE STAGE AMPLIFIERS : Small Signal Analysis of Junction Transistor using h-parameter model, Frequency Response, Effect of bypass Capacitor and Coupling Capacitor on Frequency Response, Analysis of JFET Amplifiers- Common Source, Common Drain, Common Gate Amplifiers
UNIT -II
MULTI STAGE AMPLIFIERS : Multi Stage Amplifiers,  Methods of Inter Stage Coupling, Analysis of n – Stage Cascaded Amplifier, Miller’s Theorem, High Input Resistance Transistor Circuits,  Cascode Transistor Configuration
UNIT -III
HIGH FREQUENCY TRANSISTOR CIRCUITS : Hybrid-p Common Emitter transistor model, Hybrid p Conductances, Hybrid-p Capacitances,  Variation of  Hybrid p Parameters, CE Short Circuit Current Gain,  Current Gain with Resistive Load,  Gain- Band width product, Emitter Follower at High Frequencies.
UNIT -IV
FEEDBACK AMPLIFIERS : Concept of feedback, Classification of feedback amplifiers, General characteristics of negative feedback amplifiers, Effect of Feedback on input and output impedance, Voltage Series, Voltage Shunt, Current Series, and Current Shunt feedback amplifiers with discrete components and their analysis.
UNIT- V
OSCILLATORS : Condition for Oscillations, RC-Phase Shift Oscillators with Transistor and FET, Hartley and Colpitt’s Oscillators, Wien bridge Oscillator, Crystal Oscillator, Frequency and Amplitude Stability of Oscillators
UNIT-VI
POWER AMPLIFIERS : Classification of Amplifiers, Class A Power Amplifier, Efficiency of Class A Amplifier, Transformer Coupled Audio Power Amplifier, Push Pull Amplifier, Class B Push Pull Amplifier, Complementary Symmetry class B power amplifier, Distortion in power amplifiers, Thermal Stability & heat sinks.
UNIT -VII
TUNED AMPLIFIERS : Single Tuned Capacitive Coupled Amplifier, Tapped Single Tuned Capacitance Coupled Amplifier, Single Tuned Transformer Coupled or Inductively Coupled Amplifier Application of Tuned Amplifiers, Staggered Tuning, Stability Considerations.
UNIT- VIII
SINGLE STAGE MOS AMPLIFIERS : Basic concepts, MOS Small signal model, Common Source amplifier with Resistive load. Diode connected Load and Current Source Load, Source follower, Common Gate stage, Cascode and Folded Cascode Amplifier and their Frequency response.
